Surgeon Simulator 2013: The Greatest Game Ever.

Have you ever wanted an incredibly intricate game that depicts a real life emergency room environment, one in which you are timed against the clock and must perform a plethora of difficult and adrenaline inducing operations? Well if you have, then you are out of luck. However, if you ever wanted to savagely smash a “surgical” hammer into a poor guy’s ribcage whilst replacing his heart with a radio, then I have the perfect game for you!

Bossa Studio’s new game, Surgeon Simulator 2013, is a hilarious entry to the Global Game Jam 2013 and was created by four talented developers in just an incredible 48 hours. This year’s theme was ‘a heartbeat’, and as you can see, they took that quite literally.

Surgeon Simulator 2013 implements physics and controls reminiscent to that of QWOP, with similarly chuckle-worthy results.

Surgery Simulator 2013

There are many simulator games out there,Train Simulator and Farm Simulator to name a few, however neither of those two give the satisfaction of sawing through a patient’s ventricles, delicately displacing his heart with the butt of a bone saw, and all the while humming along to the Casualty theme tune, now, do they?

Check out the video below for a little tutorial on how to perform heart surgery the right way.

The game can be downloaded for free on Windows, Linux and Mac
